Benito Novas
Vice President of the International Society for Stem Cell Application (ISSCA) and leader in strategy and market development in Regenerative Medicine
With a deep commitment to advancing regenerative medicine, Benito Novas plays a pivotal role in ISSCA’s mission to make stem cell therapies accessible to patients worldwide. His dedication is driven by a vision to accelerate the transition of groundbreaking stem cell research into practical treatments and therapies.
His professional journey is rooted in resilience and adaptability. Born in Havana, Cuba, Benito grew up in a restrictive environment that offered few opportunities for private enterprise. Despite this, his drive led him to emigrate first to Venezuela, where he worked in customer service at DHL, and later to the United States. This background in risk management and corporate operations laid a strong foundation for his future endeavors in healthcare and biotechnology.
Benito’s transition into medicine came through a desire to help family members who were talented healthcare providers but lacked business expertise. Inspired by their success, he dedicated himself to consulting and founded Aesthetic Marketing Group, a company specializing in marketing for cash-based medical practices. His keen insight into sales, marketing, and social media gave him a distinct advantage, and his agency quickly became a success.
In 2010, driven by a newfound passion for regenerative medicine, he established Global Stem Cells Group, focusing on making cutting-edge stem cell treatments available to more people. Under his leadership, the company has grown from humble beginnings to a key player in regenerative medicine, promoting and supporting stem cell therapy adoption globally. Today, he remains dedicated to leveraging his knowledge and experience to empower physicians and researchers to drive forward the potential of regenerative medicine, helping to create a lasting impact on healthcare.
