ISSCA Offers New Online Cellular Therapy Course
With video lectures and additional tools from some of the most respected names in today’s stem cells field, the course arms practitioners with the necessary knowledge and resources to offer innovative regenerative medicine treatments in their existing practices
MIAMI LAKES, Florida— The International Society for Stem Cell Application (ISSCA) (www.issca.us) has announced it has launched a new online stem cells course, Cellular Therapy. The course adds to the group’s already existing robust offering of onsite and online courses designed to give physicians looking to incorporate regenerative medicine protocols into their practices the education and tools necessary to do so.
Regenerative medicine has been increasingly gaining attention in today’s fast-paced medical world. As more researchers and physicians become interested in studying the field and introducing treatment protocols into their practices, it can be difficult to know which products and practices yield the best results for patients seeking these treatments for relief from degenerative diseases, noted Benito Novas, ISSCA VP of Public Relations. Knowing which products work for which conditions and how to safely administer them to maximize results are key in leading a successful regenerative medicine practice.
With the Cellular Therapy course and others offered by the ISSCA, physicians will learn these valuable protocols and more about product offerings and how to choose the most effective ones. The Cellular Therapy course will prepare physicians with the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge needed to effectively and safely secure better patient outcomes when using cellular therapies. With this training, physicians will gain knowledge from leading scientists in the field, learn valuable information on safety standards and quality control from top manufacturers, be positioned to perform these procedures and open a Stem Cell Center practice, join the ISSCA’s network, and enjoy the benefits of an exponentially growing industry worldwide.
Practitioners enrolling in the online course will gain access to online lectures from some of the leading names in the field of regenerative medicine spanning a number of topics critical to understanding the foundations of cellular therapy. In addition to online lectures, enrollees gain access to important supporting documents; The Condition Book, outlining stem cells treatment protocols for seven common conditions; and valuable case studies, all designed to deliver the knowledge needed to successfully implement stem cells treatments in a clinical setting.
And physicians looking to enroll in this course and other offerings by the ISSCA are in good hands. The group is widely considered as the global standard bearer when it comes to education and research in the regenerative medicine field. For years, the ISSCA has played a critical role in bridging the gap between the science behind stem cells and regenerative medicine and the practical application of that science in a clinical setting.
“We are pleased to add the online Cellular Therapy course to our growing number of course offerings designed to deliver the skills and education needed to practitioners eager to implement stem cells treatment protocols into their existing practices,” said Novas. “The course gives physicians the skills needed to utilize these highly effective treatments to help patients suffering from degenerative diseases while expanding on the ISSCA’s mission to continue to serve as the premier educational resource for physicians across the globe looking to introduce stem cells treatments into their practices.”

Global Stem Cells Group Collaborates with Guadalajara Hospital Angeles del Carmen
ISSCA’s training assists hospital in developing better protocols for gynecological treatments
MIAMI LAKES, Florida—The International Society for Stem Cell Application, a multi-disciplinary community of scientists and physicians collaborating to treat diseases and lessen human suffering through science, technology, and regenerative medicine, traveled to Guadalajara, Mexico in early February to collaborate with area physicians on how to utilize advancements in stem cell research and technology to find new solutions to health issues and concerns.
During ISSCA’s visit to Hospital Angeles del Carmen, physicians with the group partnered with Dr. Norma Patricia Ramos, director of the hospital’s gynecological department. During the two-day visit, ISSCA’s researchers and physicians provided valuable training and guidance on how stem cells can be used to develop better protocols for treating vaginal stenosis.
Vaginal stenosis is a condition that causes narrowing and/or loss of flexibility of the vagina and is a side effect of radiotherapy and/or genital surgery. It is often also accompanied by dryness and loss of resiliency of scar tissue.
The group reviewed new and effective treatment protocols available through stem cell therapies, including combining traditional CO2 laser treatments with stem cells harvested from adipose tissue.
The group also worked with Dr. Ramos and her team on new stem cell protocols to help women who have tried in vitro fertilization to get pregnant but have not experienced success due to a lack of ovarian reserves. The ISSCA group shared new research on the viability of utilizing stem cells from adipose tissue or bone marrow and reintegrating it into the ovaries using a laparoscopy with the goal of increasing ovarian reserves and increasing chances of pregnancy. Poor ovarian reserve (POR) is critical limiting factor for the success of any treatment modality for infertility, and new stem cell treatments provide a promising treatment protocol in increasing the quantity and quality of oocytes in women of reproductive age.
ISSCA is committed to partnering with physicians and researchers worldwide who have a vested interest in finding new solutions to improve treatments for any conditions. The group has an upcoming trip to Buenos Aires to partner with orthopedic doctors to discuss opportunities for stem cell therapies to improve treatment protocols in the field of orthopedics.

ISSCA Launches New Board Aimed at Connecting Professionals in Regenerative Medicine
The society’s board helps scientists and physicians in the field make connections to improve research and provide safer and more effective patient care
MIAMI LAKES, Florida— The International Association for Stem Cell Application, a multi-disciplinary community of scientists and physicians collaborating to treat diseases and lessen human suffering through science, technology, and regenerative medicine, has announced the launch of a new online board that will help to promote the organization’s goal of facilitating the interchange of information, research, and training between physicians and scientists across the globe.
The launch of the new board comes on the heels of ISSCA’s recent announcement of a new leadership team for the society, which has recognized the importance of more easily facilitating global connections between scientists and physicians working to use stem cell research, technology, and science to better human lives.
The board, located on ISSCA’s webpage at https://www.issca.us, serves as a one-stop location for practitioners in the field of stem cell research and technology to find other practitioners across the globe and easily make connections in order to help grow their professional network, exchange best practices and research, improve standards of quality, and standardized treatment protocols in this fast-growing area of medicine that is still in its infancy.
Because regenerative medicine is a new area of medicine, physicians and scientists in the field are largely self-taught without adherence to any standards. ISSCA’s goal is to act as a resource to this burgeoning field and to help practitioners receive proper training and to standardize treatment protocols in an effort to deliver safer and more effective treatments to patients. The launch of the new board will help the society further reach this goal.
Professionals practicing regenerative medicine are encouraged to become members of the society to help assure proper training in the field and compliance with international protocols. Membership into the society will allow practitioners to be featured in the new board and have access to valuable research to standardize their knowledge, access opportunities to become certified in the field, attend professional conferences, and network with other professionals with the same interests of improving the field of regenerative medicine.
