International Society for Stem Cell Application FAQs
The International Society for Stem Cell Application (ISSCA) is a global leader in regenerative medicine, dedicated to training, certification, and research in cellular therapies. With a presence in over 35 countries, ISSCA offers both in-person and online educational programs focused on minimally invasive techniques for harvesting and applying autologous stem cells derived from adipose tissue and bone marrow, as well as Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) isolation techniques. Our courses are designed to equip doctors and healthcare professionals with the most advanced knowledge and best practices in regenerative medicine, ensuring they can provide innovative and effective treatments in their clinics.
What is our mission?
At ISSCA, our mission is to set global standards for academic training in regenerative medicine, support the development and funding of cutting-edge scientific research, and promote internationally recognized treatment protocols. We offer high-quality continuing education and medical training to transform medical practice worldwide.
What is the difference between the in-person and online courses?
Our in-person International Certification in Regenerative Medicine and Cellular Therapies is an intensive three-day program focused on applying regenerative medicine treatments in a clinical setting. The course covers essential theoretical and practical aspects, including treatments with autologous and allogeneic stem cells, as well as exosome therapies. Participants have the opportunity to practice live with patients under the direct supervision of our qualified instructors. The online format offers the same theoretical content through recorded videos, but lacks the hands-on experience, which reduces the impact of learning compared to the in-person course.
How can I qualify for ISSCA membership, and what benefits does it offer?
To ensure comprehensive training in cellular therapies and meet the rigorous standards as an ISSCA member, participation in our Hands-on practical sessions is mandatory. Upon certification in any of our in-person courses, you will gain ISSCA membership, which offers exclusive benefits such as: access to international events, global networking opportunities, and discounts on future certifications.
Are the courses only for doctors, or can other healthcare professionals attend?
It is not necessary to be a doctor to attend our courses. All healthcare professionals are welcome
Where is the in-person course held?
The in-person International Certification in Regenerative Medicine and Cellular Therapies is conducted at various international locations, including Cancun, the Dominican Republic, Turkey, Dubai, Peru, and Argentina, with a presence in 35 countries worldwide.
How many live patients participate in the in-person course?
During the in-person course, participants will work with 3 to 5 live cases, which include treatments with Autologous and Allogeneic stem cells, Exosomes, and Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) isolation techniques
Who provides the training?
The training is provided by our experienced and highly qualified instructors. We are constantly incorporating new professionals and protocols to ensure you receive the best and most up-to-date training experience.
Does the course include accommodation and transportation?
No, accommodation and transportation are not included, but we can assist you in finding lodging options if you prefer. Please contact us for more details.
Will I receive the same certificate if I take the online course or the in-person course?
No, the content and preparation are different. The in-person training is more comprehensive, as you learn live with patients, and the value of Q&A sessions with the specialist doctors leading the course offers greater proximity and more robust preparation for clinical practice. In the online version, the theoretical content is the same, but the lack of practical experience reduces the value of the certification.
What type of certification will I receive?
You will receive a certificate of completion issued by ISSCA, which certifies your knowledge of the standardized protocols that ISSCA, as a scientific research institution, has categorized as safe and effective. Additionally, the ISSCA certification is endorsed by the renowned Marmara University.
What continuing education options are available after completing the course?
We offer various continuing education options, including personalized on-site training, specialty courses, applications of regenerative medicine and cellular therapies in different treatments, as well as participation in international conferences, our annual ISSCA World Congress, and the Fellowship for those seeking deeper scientific knowledge in Regenerative Medicine.
Are the courses only offered in English, or are they available in other languages?
The language of the course varies depending on the country where the certification is held. Courses in Latin America, Spain, and Portugal are offered in Spanish, while courses in the rest of the world are offered in English.
Do I need any special equipment to incorporate what I’ve learned into my practice?
Some regenerative medicine treatments can be performed with only supplies. However, to fully incorporate regenerative medicine and cellular therapies into your practice, it's important to consider acquiring specialized equipment. You can purchase this equipment through cellgenic.com.
How do I schedule a training course at my clinic?
Specialized consultation is required to define your needs and receive a quote. Contact us at +1 (754) 799 4946 for more information.
Are course fees refundable if I cannot attend?
If you enroll in one of our in-person courses and cannot attend, we will grant you full credit for another in-person course at a later date. Course fees are non-refundable.
Can I perform the procedures in my clinic after completing the stem cell training courses?
Yes, our main goal is to train healthcare professionals interested in performing stem cell treatments in their own practice. We will provide you with the tools, methods, and practice necessary to fully perform the procedures in your clinic. We recommend checking with the regulatory entities in your country regarding compliance with local regulations.
